CityDesk: Live Cam Routes ("we", "us") provides an iOS app for watching live city cameras organized by city desks, time-of-day shifts, and camera corridors. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Overview

CityDesk is a per-city live camera desk. We collect minimal data and do not require an account.

Information we process

• Location (optional) — If granted, location may be used on-device to sort cameras in the active city desk. Approximate coordinates may be sent to the Windy Webcams API when requesting nearby feeds. We do not store your location on our servers.
• App settings & notes — Favorites, desk notes, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
• Cache — The app may cache images and catalog data locally. You can clear cache when that control is available in Settings.
• Device and advertising identifiers — With your permission under App Tracking Transparency, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is used by our ad and attribution partners. Without permission, only non-tracking identifiers (such as the IDFV or SDK-generated IDs) are used.
• Usage and ad interaction data — Screens viewed, features used (for example opening a city desk, camera, or corridor), language choice, and ad requests, impressions, clicks, and ad revenue. This is used to measure and improve the app and its ads. It is not linked to your identity; the app has no accounts.

What we do not collect

• No account registration or password
• No sale of personal data

Third-party services

• Windy Webcams — Live camera metadata, still previews, and official embed playback (Windy Webcams API Terms, Windy Terms).
• Apple MapKit — City map views are provided by Apple.
• Google AdMob — Shows app-open, interstitial, and native ads. May collect device and advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data to serve, limit, and measure ads. • Google Firebase (Analytics, Remote Config) — Measures app usage and ad performance, and delivers remote configuration such as ad settings. See the Firebase privacy information.
• AppsFlyer — Install attribution and ad revenue measurement, so we can understand which campaigns bring users to CityDesk. May process device and advertising identifiers, IP address, and app install/open events. See the AppsFlyer Services Privacy Policy.

Tracking and your choices

• App Tracking Transparency — iOS asks whether CityDesk may track you across apps and websites. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline, ads are still shown but are not personalized using the IDFA.
• EEA, UK, and Switzerland — We use Google's consent message (UMP) to ask for your consent before personalized ads and related processing. You can review or withdraw consent anytime in the app under More → Legal → Ad Privacy Settings.
• Personalized ads — You can also reset or limit ad personalization in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
